Prior to pursuing a career as an executive recruiter, I was an educator in Guam, USA. In Guam, I taught at a private college-preparatory high school.

In May of 2005, I transitioned into the Japan recruiting industry. I started as an associate recruiting consultant with a boutique recruiting firm. I placed semiconductor and IT professionals in non-executive roles. And I became passionate about mastering the art of recruiting.

A few years later (2008), I joined Korn Ferry Futurestep in Tokyo. At Korn Ferry, I was accountable for the development of retained search business with mostly U.S. multinationals. I completed talent engagements at the Director and Country General Manager level. Also at Korn Ferry, I learned the skill sets needed to be an executive recruiter.

In addition to Japan experience, I acquired recruiting expertise in the Accounting and Finance and Human Resources practice areas in Hong Kong. I primarily sourced, high-caliber HR talent, for a wide range of clients in HK. I worked in HK for almost five years. And I developed a strong track record in successfully executing searches for mid-to-senior level roles.

Furthermore, I’m committed to being the best at what I do. I participated in corporate learning and development with Korn Ferry, Dale Carnegie Training, and The University of Hong Kong. I received certificates in human resources, training management and organizational development, recruiting, copywriting, sales and marketing.

Finally, I’m from Pompton Plains, New Jersey. I have a Master of Arts from California State University, Fullerton 2001. I studied English and U.S. history at Montclair State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1997. Before graduating, I learned Mandarin Chinese at Nanjing University in China (1996-1997).
